he Campidano region is rich in picturesque corners, surrounded by ancient walls, religious monuments, rock churches, and archaeological sites from the Nuragic, Phoenician-Punic, and Roman periods. The natural, unspoiled aspect is complemented by the strong historical and cultural presence from which local traditions draw their lifeblood, which can also be found in the lively craftsmanship, customs, and festivals of these lands. A separate role is played by food and wine routes, which preserve tradition, taste and culture.
In the center of Middle Campidano passes the most important road artery on the island, the SS 131 Carlo Felice, which crosses and connects Sardinia from north to south.

The beaches of the province of Medio Campidano boast coastal stretches of rare beauty. The main feature in 47 km of coastline are the wide expanses of sand that give rise to impressive dunes reminiscent of those in the desert. These are in turn interrupted by areas of uniquely hued Mediterranean scrubland.
