Hône was already inhabited during the Bronze Age and Iron Age. They have, in fact, been found rock-cut shelters, called balme, and cupped stones, that is, stones carved from cup-shaped incisions to which religious significance has been attributed.

From Hône there are numerous trails leading to scenic spots, such as the Pourcil viewpoint and the Biel Serra.

In the small village of Hone, at the foot of the majestic Fortress of Bard, every year the “Micòoula Festival” is celebrated, a tribute to the tasty black bread of the local tradition. The festival and market takes place on December 8 with demonstrations on kneading and baking bread.
