More Info
The historic center of Camporosso and the hamlets of Balloi, Brunetti, and Trinity as well as the villages of San Giacomo and Ciaixe are landmarks for tourists seeking an environment that offers striking views and buildings of historical and artistic importance.
The coastal stretch is rather pebbly, as in Vallecrosia and Bordighera.
The 11th-century Romanesque church of St. Peter is located in the Camporosso cemetery and contains 15th- to 17th-century frescoes inside. The historic center, all to be discovered, features characteristic carruggi and ancient mills.
The Municipality and the Library, with its holdings of manuscripts and rare books, are housed in the premises of a noble building, once the residence of the Doria family.
The parish church of St. Mark the Evangelist was built in the 15th century and enlarged in the 18th century. The 19th-century bell tower has recently been restored.
Absolutely not to be missed is the Lagasso Wildlife Oasis, where more than 120 species of migratory birds nest, protected by the Italian League for the Protection of Birds.
In Osta Area, every weekend Festivals and Theme Evenings.
Also present is a Bike Path that connects the sea to the castle of Dolceacqua (visitable).
